"A trout is not just a fish. F. Schubert and C. Schubart can tell. Trout go against the flow, floundering to overcome all kinds of obstructions such as dams, watermills and fishermen. Their persistence swirls the imagination.
People can act like trouts, jumping around like fools to get around the self-made barriers, preventing themselves from doing what they really want to do...
Fish need to be heard. And we want to interpret their call! So we joined our slippery friends in the current of the rivers in the Auvergne (France), a region renowned for wild trout. There we re-created their music, which is also inspired by Schubert’s quintet and the taste of freshly baked trout."

Incredible compositions and lyricism (each track is a different kind of poem). Halvorson's playing is as great as usual, and all the other members of the band sound great. Robert Wyatt's singing in particular works extremely well in the tracks he's featured. Highly, highly recommend. rat
